Jean Michel Jarre - BellsMusic: Jean Michel Jarre | Title: Bells | Album: Metamorphoses | Year: 2000 The Twelve Dreams Of The Sun was a concert held by musician Jean Michel Jarre on the Pyramids of Giza, Egypt starting on December 31, 1999 and carrying overnight to January 1, 2000. It was attended by 120000 people. The concert consisted of two parts, the Main Concert and a Sunrise Concert. The concert cost approximately $9500000 and it originated when Jean-Michel Jarre was contacted by the Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak with a special project to celebrate the dawn of the new Millennium at the foot of the only remaining monument of the original 7 Wonders of the World - the Great Pyramids. Jarre's team had developed giant projections to be displayed on the faces of the Great Pyramids, however a heavy cloud of fog made the pyramids almost invisible, so most of the projections were discarded. Parts of the concert were broadcast live on TV stations around the world.

Jean Michel Jarre - Oxygene IV - LiveJean Michel Jarre at young age, performing his Oxygene IV in the Dutch television show 'TopPop'. Notice his random play on the keyboards, an obvious playback performance, much more common back in 1978. At the time, his performance with all the synthesizers alone gave the audience a huge enough impression. Many even wondered how he could perform the song all by himself. Images enhanced in colour, sharpness and contrast and soundtrack remastered for better clearity and stereo imaging. Enjoy! - Nimanty -

Jean Michel Jarre: The Concerts in China (Beijing / Shanghai) October 1981[Mikel VizzualbazzikHck] In 1981 Jarre was invited by the Chinese government to perform five concerts in what was then a very closed country. The five indoor concerts took place respectively in Beijing (two concerts) and Shanghai (three concerts), and the French musician had composed no fewer than seven new pieces especially for them which, stylistically, moved from electro over ambient to Chinese traditional music. Organising the concerts was a major project in itself, not least due to the cultural differences connected with the official concert tradition in China. The audience at the first show was exclusively comprised of military personnel and for this reason Jarre handed-out tickets to the citizens in the street to enable them also to share the other shows. It has been said that 500 million Chinese listened to the concerts live on the radio when Jarre, as the first Western musician invited officially, performed in early post-Mao China.
