"Wonderboy in Monsterland" is the first single from "Cthulhu" the fourth official album of 7 Days Awake. Whilst the previous year's fresh and catchy album "Interference" mainly focuses on songs, the sound of the new concept album "Cthulhu" is exactly the opposite. "7 Days Awake" is about the balance between creation and destruction of structures. The tracks are catchy-atmospheric or intensively brute, and at the same time always a bit weird, startling and filled with deep love for extended instrumental parts. We would like to thank all the people who made this video possible: Edith for the location "Potemkin", the upcoming underground rock bar in Bielefeld! Marc Hotfiel for his endless support, especially for organizing the location, for bringing his ideas into the story, for shooting the video and for the coordination of all the chaotic people during the making! Musikalische Grenzen zu sprengen, vor allem die eigenen, das ist wohl der rote Faden der sich durch die Geschichte dieser experimentellen Indie Rock-Band zieht. Während auf ihrem zuletzt veröffentlichten Album "Interference" noch eher der Song im Vordergrund stand, hat nun das aktuelle Nachfolge-Konzeptalbum "Cthulhu" das Gegenteil zum Ziel. So geht's bei 7 Days Awake um die Balance zwischen dem Erschaffen und Zerstören von Strukturen. Songs zwischen einprägsam-atmosphärisch und brachial-intensiv schwebend, dabei immer ein bisschen schräg, überraschend und mit der Liebe zu ausgedehnten Instrumentalpassagen. Die ursprünglich instrumentale Band wurde im Jahr 2003 in Bielefeld gegründet und ist seit 2006 bei dem Hamburger Label "Abandon Records" unter Vertrag. Das Trio war bereits deutschlandweit unterwegs und kann mittlerweile auf vier Alben zurückblicken. Wohin die Reise in Zukunft gehen soll, will die Band nicht verraten: "Wir waren immer schon eine experimentelle Band - das steht im Vordergrund, und das soll auch so bleiben.
